Thx Brent, meh, it’s only stuff.  Easy for me to say, for very little of it was my stuff.  Coupla shootin arns, not collectibles, a few hundred rounds of ammo.

 

Come to think of it, when the fire reached that ammo it woulda been an unmistakable signal to get on outta Dodge, forthwith.

 

Insurance company appears to be doing the right thing.  FIL had plenty of insurance.  Such a paranoid sort!  He kept up to date, increasing coverage with annual home evaluations, paying right up.  Absurd!  Who does that?  Surely it is a form of madness, to be actually prepared for such an unlikely catastrophe as the one which occurred.
