I mentioned my use of Grok and StarLink as examples of Elonware I use, but I
forgot about Cursor, which is now part of SpaceX. I subscribed to it just
before I had to run to Spokane last week, and haven't had a chance to fool
with it, but I will describe what it does. It is an AI-based artificial
programmer. You post to it a text-based description of what you want to do,
and it writes the code, which is great for stuff like graphics, which is
tedious as all hell to code.

The one day I have had to fool with it, I had it code an idea I had some
time ago but didn't code up. Start with a grid, say 100 x 100, then make a
number spiral, starting in the center. Place a black cube at every prime
number. Treat that scattering of cubes as living cells in Conway's game of
life. Calculate the next generation in Conway's Life, and make the result
the second level of cubes. Repeat Conway rules on the second level to
create a third level, and so on for 100 levels.

Can you picture in your mind what I did there? Cursor was able to code that
up in less than a minute, with that description. It creates vertical
structures that remind one of a kelp forest sorta. I have more work to do
on the graphics, or rather Cursor has more work to do, but worked.

I had it create for me a first person view spaceship which could turn,
thrust, and of course shoot (hey, this is me (of course I am going to make a
shoot em up game out of it (but it's not my fault (hey, evolutionary
psychology (the most universal excuse ever invented.)))))

I hope to get back to that soon, but in the meantime, BillK or you other
hipsters, have at it.

Also note: you don't need to start the spiral with 1, you can start with ANY
number at the center of the initial grid, and get a different space-scape.
You can make your battlewagons small so you can hide among the towers,
ambush your opponents, and that kinda stuff. Have fun, gotta run.
