This is some bells and whistles in that prime-life space scape.

 

You can step thru the layers.  Probably you recognize the Ulam spiral that
forms the first layer.

 

Below that is shown an isometric view of the structure.  You can see some
cool towers in there.

 

The live cell count was kinda cool: you see it trending toward the
equilibrium of about 6% of the cells living.  There are 10k cells to start
with, and you get to about 600 or so live cells per level:

 



 

Fun aside having nothing to do with Ulam spirals or space shoot em ups: if
you ever make a claim on an insurance company these days you will be having
extended phone conversations with AI.  My insurance company uses humans to
sell insurance but AI to deal with the distasteful proles making claims.
