Ja, and that is why we need multi-billionaires: they do stuff like save TwitterX.

>…I think everybody should have a right to say anything they please, but if I was super rich I would NOT feel obligated to give a $44 billion megaphone to conspiracy theory lunatics, dispensers of legal medical advice, or neo-Nazis. Let them get their own damn megaphone!...

TwitterX is their own damn megaphone. They consider those who oppose TwitterX to be the lunatic neo-Nazi. But you can do your part to reduce the reach of their own damn megaphone by brutally not using TwitterX. That was easy.

In the current US election cycle, we had an actual literal lunatic neo-Nazi running for senate. Partially because of TwitterX publicizing this, he was removed from nomination, AFTER he had already won the Maine primary. In that case, TwitterX saved the USA from the risk of an actual lunatic neo-Nazi in the senate. Thanks TwitterX.

Those who use TwitterX disagree.

Since you bring up conspiracy theories, what about that one suggesting that Dr. Fauci covered up aspects of the origin of covid, then claimed there was scientific consensus that it was natural origin, while there was still plenty of dissent in the scientific community? Those were very persistent conspiracy theories on TwitterX (that covid was a lab leak and that there was not a scientific consensus.) Both theories which now look very plausible.

Dr. Fauci holds a blanket presidential pardon, yet when called upon to testify before congress, he pled the fifth amendment, which protects him from having to incriminate himself. So… Dr. Fauci committed actual contempt of congress, for which he can be prosecuted, to prevent incriminating himself on matters for which he cannot be prosecuted. Think about that for a full minute, or if you are busy, a full ten seconds.

TwitterX has a lot of discussion on that topic. Those kinds of discussions need an open forum somewhere. TwitterX is our friend.

Fun aside: When Elon bought TwitterX, he was buying the IP of everyone who posted there, which is an enormous body of text with points of view from everywhere. This was used to train Grok. Max More could theoretically use the ExIchat archives to train… ExAI. That would be cool. I would buy a subscription to that.
