One might argue that life on earth is almost at that point now: too little CO2 in the atmosphere. Plants somehow manage on only a few hundred parts per million, since their metabolism is slow. Generally water is the limiting factor in plant growth. But what if… plants had more water and more CO2? Then it would be all about nitrogen and phosphorus, ja? Nitrogen and phosphorus become the new currencies of life on earth.
