Easy solution: leave off with all store-bought honey.  She can't be sure there isn't corn syrup in it (but good chance there is (unless she has her own bees (I am perfectly OK with those who have their OWN hives (I used to (when I co-owned a farm (but I didn't take their honey (for having one's own hives increases the total population of bees (this is a good thing.)))))  

Adrian do urge your friend to get a hobby hive.  They are not expensive, and the needle-ass bitches make entertaining pets.
