Try using one yourself, and I'm pretty sure it will come up with similar things, but supporting your own point of view.

I'm still waiting for one of these LLM AIs to say to someone "Actually, you're wrong", then explain why, instead of just shoring up existing opinions and prejudices.

Let's hope they are doing a lot better in the sciences, because if the same kind of thing is happening there, we're going to be in deep trouble. 'Even deeper trouble' I should probably say!

Apart from that, I should think it's obvious by now that /we can't rely on these AIs to shed light on our arguments/. They pour petrol on fires instead.

I'd say use them with care, but people who want support for their arguments rather than sanity checks (which is just about everyone) aren't going to take that advice, so probably the next best thing would be to say "don't assume they are making sense" when reading something generated by them.

They appear to have become inflammatory cheerleaders, not the considered voice of reason. Don't fall into the trap of thinking "it must be true, an AI said it". That's worse than thinking that newspapers only print facts.
