Interesting that this work was submitted to the journal 'Cell' but rejected on the grounds that it's "not real biology".

I've long said that we are going to need a technology that's as complex and capable, or moreso, than biology, but not really biological. Looks like we may be starting to venture into the foothills of that technology.

Maybe we need a 'Journal of not real biology'. One /not/ based on the execrable 'double profits' system of current journals, of course.
