I may revisit the thermal models I was working ten yrs ago with more modern
software tools, or others can take it up.  My focus was on Roberts notion
of stacking nodes on concentric orbits, his m brain idea.  The waste heat
from the inner nodes heats the outer nodes and reflected radiation from the
outer nodes eventually overheats the inner nodes.

Kardashevs notion fails to the second law of thermodynamics.

I wouldn't be surprised if studies and papers have dealt with this while I
was working other matters.

Aside, note how difficult it has become to write an email without Internet
access.  I have nothing profound to say while camping.
