OK did it. I asked Duck AI: What is the problem with the secondary gear case on the suzuki cavalcade?

It apparently found the Sukuki Cavalcade forum and got the answer mostly right, but one part of it catastrophically wrong.

It virtually opined:

>…The secondary gear case on the Suzuki Cavalcade can have issues with a plug that needs to be replaced to prevent oil leaks. Regular servicing is essential to maintain its functionality and avoid potential problems.

Hmmm.

>…Issues with the Secondary Gear Case on the Suzuki Cavalcade

Common Problems

The secondary gear case on the Suzuki Cavalcade is known to have specific issues that can affect its performance and reliability. The primary concern is related to a plug that may need replacement to prevent oil leaks.

Maintenance Recommendations

To ensure the secondary gear case functions properly, regular servicing is crucial. Here are some key maintenance tips:

*	Check the Plug: Ensure that the plug in the secondary gear case is replaced if it is the original rubber type, as it can fail and lead to oil leaks.
*	Regular Oil Changes: The Cavalcade requires oil changes in three areas: motor oil, secondary oil, and rear oil. Keeping these areas well-maintained helps prevent issues.
*	Monitor for Leaks: Regularly inspect the secondary gear case for any signs of oil leakage, which can indicate a problem with the plug or other components.

Conclusion

Addressing these issues proactively through regular maintenance can help avoid more significant problems with the Suzuki Cavalcade's secondary gear case…

OK, so far so (kinda) good, but here’s where things went very wrong:

What are the symptoms of a failing secondary gear case on the Suzuki Cavalcade?

>…Symptoms of a failing secondary gear case on the Suzuki Cavalcade include loss of lubrication, which can lead to internal damage, and potential difficulty in maintaining proper oil levels. It's important to check the secondary oil level regularly to prevent serious issues…

OK then. The reason that answer is way the hell wrong: if that secondary gear case oil plug fails on the Cavalcade, the gear case oil leaks into the drive shaft housing, which means it isn’t clear the secondary case hemorrhaged its lubricant. If a rider doesn’t know how to recognize the symptoms, the result can be a sudden unexpected seizure of the secondary gear case, locking up the rear wheel, possibly resulting in fatalities. We know of at least five proles who have expired as a result of the design flaw, and prevailing opinion is that it is probably eleven.

It would be ideal if we can direct AI to find my writing on the topic, for I was recognized as the guy who co-discovered the design flaw (two others found it independently) and publicized the hell outta that problem. Duck AI kinda knows about some of that. It would be interesting if BillK or any other AI expert among us would drop that question into the more sophisticated AI:

What is the problem with the secondary gear case on the suzuki cavalcade?

BillK, if any of your AIs tell you there is no problem with that bike, do let me know please. Two names might appear, mine and a co-discoverer named Tracy. If either do, they might be able to work backwards and find the solution, and we are OK.

Anyone else here with some eclectic field or topic to study AI?
