5 bits per day! How could such a "superintelligence" compete against a rapidly evolving AI like Claude Opus 5, or even the village idiot with a meat brain?

It doesn’t.  The competition phase of its existence is long since over. 

 

The 5 bits per day is the rate it is sending signals out to other civilizations.  There’s no big hurry on that signal.  There are good reasons to not be too chatty on the outgoing signal.
