[ExI] Low birth rate, Ageing populations - what to do?

This all seems very short-term thinking and ultimately irrelevant. It looks like a distraction from what we should really be aiming for.

Go all-out on explicit rejuvenation/anti-ageing research, development and deployment. AI should be able to really accelerate this, now. Then link this to the increasing wealth-creation capability of AI and other automation, to make it cheap and available to everyone ('universal rejuvenation' to go along with 'universal income'. Young healthy people are less expensive to keep alive than old, sick people (a lot less expensive, in /certain/ countries! Yes, that will produce a lot of resistance from the businesses that profit from people being sick, but that's a different issue)).

What would you rather spend your money on: The development of an exoskeleton to support your tired old body for a few years more, or development of treatments to restore your muscular strength and increase your healthy lifespan?

Low birth rate then becomes an advantage (how long have people been wringing their hands over the terrible spectre of overpopulation? Now they're wringing their hands over low birth rates?? I think that a lot of people just look for things to worry about!), and ageing populations will rapidly become youthful populations.
