It is already there, BillK. On a recent trip for family business, we visited a cousin who was a paralegal. She is now unemployed along with her colleagues, with no reasonable expectation of finding employment in the industry in which she worked for nearly four decades. She is old enough to retire, but plenty of them are not. It is clear enough that the corporate lawyers and CPAs will be next in the unemployment line: their professions do not demand creativity so much as mastery of case law and tax law. AI can read and master the entire US legal code and the US tax code, which humans can scarcely do in a decade of focused study.
