Effectively this is a strong extropian argument that to get anything much done in anything we care about we must be able to operate outside needing the permission of some State or other. This includes longevity drug access at reasonable prices.
Open weight models are very hard to shut down.  Close weight models of corporations that exist at state permission are very easy to extort and shut down.
