It occurred to me that I am betting against the singularity.  It wasn’t really even a deliberate choice.  Under all the traditional methods, the stock market is way over on the frothy side, overpriced by any index I understand.  But the singularity might come along and generate unimaginable wealth, which would suggest stock ownership.  It might not live up to the hype, which suggest cash ownership.  If the singularity generates unimaginable wealth, cash won’t mean much, but companies will still make things people still need.

 

I am leaning away from market holdings, which is a defacto bet against the singularity.  It seems paradoxical coming from me, but it feels like cash is a fine asset to be holding in summer of 26.  Adrian, being a non-investor in stocks, you might end up being the smartest investor of us all.
