Good luck with it, Keith.

When you think about it, there's no such thing as 'renewable energy', it all originates in fusion, and there's a finite (but /extremely/ large) supply of hydrogen.

The glaringly obvious thing that all 'renewable energy' enthusiasts seem to ignore is that hydrocarbons are by far the most energy-dense form of storing and distributing energy that we have ever discovered. The problem is that CO2 is seen as such a bad thing that hydrocarbons have been unfairly demonised, and very few people seem to think of them as a good thing with a few (solvable) problems.

Fusion energy, together with something like your proposal (and maybe some variants on it), should be able to solve all these problems.

Both seem do-able in the near future, so maybe we'll soon be able to get back to driving decent cars again!
