Subject: [ExI] Figure Helix robot trained for housework
Helix 02 Bedroom Tidy (2 mins)
<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8xEuFQz4E4A>
Figure taught two F.03 robots to clean a room and make a bed in under
2 minutes - fully autonomous.
Figure 03 Humanoid Robot Learns 8 New Autonomous AI Skills (8 mins)
<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g4gBm82PVyk>
Figure demos world leading autonomous cleaning capabilities with its
03 humanoid robot, showcasing eight new abilities: coordinated tool use
(spray bottle and towel), dynamic object handling, bimanual manipulation,
whole-body task efficiency, object throwing, in-hand reorientation, tool
stowing during motion, and precise foot placement.
-------------------
That's what we want! A robot that does housework.
If only they could be made affordable.

BillK, if you worry about affordability of humanoid robots (damn Samsung for
stealing the term Android) think of cars. If you are not familiar with how
complicated cars are (very few people understand this) do let me assure you
that they are more complicated and use waaaay less energy and raw materials
than cars do. Once we get mass production cranked up, robots will be as
affordable as cars.
