I am glad to have gotten out of software engineering as my primary
employment when I did.

Though, as the video notes, perhaps the appropriate play for the
programmers being displaced is to try to hack the company's financials
so they get to be the ones cashing in on the temporarily rising stock
value - if they can get that part of the company to be included in
what the AIs (and those who feed data into the AIs) have control over.
