Hitler’s rise is explained by EP.  The Germans were starving.  The Russians were not doing well when Stalin came to power either, so EP explains both.  They were hungry and their prospects were dim.

Ja, public approval is low.  It was low in all three elections.  The Democrat party lost to an unpopular candidate twice.  It flatly refuses to acknowledge why.  I can explain it: that party is fighting itself.  It is in the process of splitting into two parties.  The DSA is not so much part of the Democrat party as it is a new party in the formation stage.
