Ja on all Ben.  Our two-party system is so entrenched, John's subject title runs the risk of his being called deplorable.  For so many years, we had the notions so deeply entrenched as to be equivalent to religious canon: the winning POTUS candidate is whichever one could unify the country, and whichever one the press would cover positively.  I never would have guessed any candidate could intentionally alienate the press and intentionally polarize the nation, then still win, twice.  Very odd is this.

Regarding our two-party system, it may be going to a three-party system with the rise of the Socialist party in America.  We don't yet know how that will play out.  Stand by and watch the next coupla years.
