Google Images sayeth:

>> This vintage television is a Zenith Chromacolor II portable color CRT TV, which was manufactured during the mid-to-late 1970s (typically circa 1974–1978).

Thanks Adrian. No other info available, but I do know there is no TV signal available out there, and the house itself had no electrical outlets, so they had to run a wire to it. My guess is that the family who still owns that house decided to move into the big city (Blaine KY (do look it up)) in order to join the modern world, to enjoy luxuries such as electricity in every room, radio and TV signals, medical facilities, schools, etc. From what I can tell that move happened after 1973. This TV suggests mid 70s, but that TV didn't work out there and wouldn't work there now.

There's a fun coda to that comment which I will post later, but now gotta scoot.
