Are you claiming that Iran has attacked vehicles on the highways of these countries? Do elaborate please.
Don’t worry about it John, Iran will not do that, has not, is not and will not.
But if they do, oh my, it will be their last attack on anything. Saudi Arabia has western weaponry, lots of it.
Taking Middle East oil overland in pipes and trucks is the safest way to do it. Consider the savings in insurance alone. Lloyds of London was making a killing. Ships in the Mediterranean cost a small fraction of what it costs to insure ships thru the strait.
I wasn’t aware of how much oil and LNG they already move that way, but I figure if they already have a pipe like this which carries seven million barrels per day, and it already spans the country (1200 km) they anticipated the problem of Iran:

If two pipes are already there, we know about how much it would cost and how long it would take to put another one next to them, or three more, send some of it up to the Mediterranean rather than the Red Sea. Sheesh how hard could it be? Welding pipe is not high tech stuff. Considering it solves the Iran problem, such a deal!
>From the point of view of the Saudis, the Iranians are heretics and infidels. Saudi Arabia also has an existing high capacity highway going across, so… build another one parallel to it, specifically for carrying oil trucks, all while keeping the strait closed indefinitely. These solutions are perfectly obvious.
