AI is already not just writing songs, it is writing better songs than we write.  Consider this AI-generated video with what I think is an (excellent) AI-generated music video:

I don't know if the song is AI generated or the lead singer is AI, but I noticed no human is taking credit for either, and the graphics are definitely AI.

Now consider the video content.  Clearly it is AI, but oh mercy, I have the hot bananas for the girl (the one dancing with grandpa at the 2:15 mark (the child lead singer will likely be smoking too (in about 30 years.)))  Opinions please: did AI write that song?  If so, I can say an AI song went all the way to number 1 on spike's top 40.  Love it.  Is that lead singer AI?  Love her too.

If AI can do that, we humans will likely eventually just dissolve into them.
