It will be interesting to see if this holds true. A state might outrank the federal govt. in many areas, in theory, but we've already seen examples where this fails to hold up in practice.

This 'renaming' psychosis is just the latest example of the Trump administration doing things they aren't supposed to be able to, but enforcing them by intimidation and what people are calling 'lawfare', and getting away with it. In America (not anywhere else), Google Maps shows the Gulf of Mexico as the 'Gulf of America'. Let's see what it calls New Mexico in a few months time, in the event that Trump actually issues the order.
