I'm not sure, spike, how, if he can ignore the constitution on one thing, he can't ignore it on another. Especially on something that it doesn't actually mention. If he does assume the ability to regulate AI, he's not doing anything it says he can't.

As an outside observer, it seems to me that Trump has no regard for the constitution at all, and if he can find a way round it, or can get away with simply ignoring it, he will.

No, that's too mild a statement, let me try again:
It's a demonstrated fact that Trump has no regard for the constitution, and he has a track record of ignoring it or running round it.

Your confidence in the constitution's ability to rein him in has to boil down to your confidence in the people and institutions that have the job of upholding the constitution. Do you agree?

They seem, from my perspective, to be doing a poor job so far.
