Arm wrestling robots beaten by a teenaged girl
Flesh and bone triumphed in the first ever man-versus-machine battle
of brawn - an arm wrestling contest between robots and humans. The
human champion defeated each of three robotic arms, hands down, in
matter of seconds. She is just 17 years old and a self-confessed
wimp.
The research behind the battle aims to develop stronger
polymer-based artificial muscles for use in future prosthetic limbs.
