Paul Baquiast</a>, editor of the French web magazine <a href="http://www.automatesintelligents.com/">Automates Intelligents</a>, has written a positive and thoughtful review of transhumanist ideas. The article is also available 
<a href="http://www.transhumanism.org/index.php/WTA/more/920/">on the WTA website</a>. Definitely worth reading for those who read French.<br>
I found especially interesting Jean Paul's conclusion: <span class="q">"Nous pensons que le mouvement transhumaniste ne progressera, tout 
au moins en France, que s'il s'ouvre un peu à l'humour et au ludique, 
en</span> abandonnant une sorte de rigueur protestante qui l'imprègne 
encore", or in other words "<span style="background-color: rgb(204, 255, 255);">We think the transhumanist movement will advance only, at least 
in France, if it becomes more open to humor and playfulness, 
leaving aside a sort of protestant rigor that still pervades it</span>". Food for thought.<br>

lecteurs qui l'ignoreraient encore à un mouvement de pensée qui nous parait 
riche d'avenir, le transhumanisme. Le hasard à voulu que je rencontre moi-même à 
Madrid, lors du Colloque des 5/7 octobre consacré à la souveraineté 
technologique européenne, l'un des pères de ce mouvement, le philosophe et 
scientifique Nick Bostrom. L'occasion était belle pour rapprocher les réflexions 
de l'école transhumaniste et celles que, de temps à autres, nous abordons dans 
notre revue en examinant notamment les conséquences des sciences émergentes
