<div>Thanks to Anders for a most thought provoking piece. </div>  <div>What it made me realize perhaps the #1 reason for luddism: though singles can more readily cope, the glue holding families together is often rather weak; no wonder so many reject the future in favor of the past. They fear the dislocation of the coming decades will dissolve their pair bonds, families.</div>  <div>To be a champion of the obvious, religion can be seen as a necessary fiction helping couples and families cope with lack of meaning and continuous dislocation.</div>  <div> </div><p>
