This was an important talk, so I'm passing along the link to its

It is an important *subject*, but to me it had the flavor of railing
against a disease without understanding the causative agent.<br><br>
Religions *are* associated with violence, war and terrorism but without
understanding *why* (in an evolutionary sense) people don't have any
chance of solving the problem. <br><br>
Of course even understanding the problem may not lead to a
solution. And it may be that the explanation is too bitter a
pill.<br><br>
If anyone has a way to get Sam Harris' attention, please let me
know.<br><br>
