<div>Amara, how much real influence/raw power does the Roman Catholic Church have on a global scale?  Can they still strongly sway American Catholics?  Non-Italian European Catholics?  Asian Catholics?  I would think in the developed world as a whole their power to affect politics & science is quite limited.  But in the third world (especially Latin America) they probably still hold great sway. </div>
