It is ofcourse vital to acknowledge that evidence is only evidence if it convinces me, and not anybody else. I have no doubt that there is a lot of people who feel convinced that the evidence for their course is present and obvious, for example people who on a regular basis have conversations with Jesus or God. So Stefano, the agnostics only claims the right to doubt, and do not base their doubt on statistics. Some agnostics, such as the vitalongists, believes that our ability to
reason is limited buy our brains capacity, the same way a worm is limited in its capability to understand differential equations. If you consider that view, it means that there is nothing but agnosticism, as this is a way to have a door open for the possibility of being wrong, while living on the knowledge we have acquired so far. We must admit that the human history has been a road of errors and mistakes, and as we now peak into the strange world of quantum mechanics, with its odd dislocality, it seems that anything can be wrong, even the strongholds of the old Greeks. When it comes down to everything I guess it is all about whether you think your brain interpretate the world of if you think it is the world.<o:p></o:p></SPAN></P>
