I honestly don't know. My usual answer is "I just work here" :-)<br>

A real answer would be that I am a generalist, and calling me a philosopher is fairly close to the traditional role of a philosopher as somebody who investigates the borders of the knowable - the role philosophers had before the natural philosophers got their own department and were called scientists. (the same with the historians, economists, psychologists, sociologists and whatnot).<br>
