Some of it, sometimes. But remember that your body spends around 10%
of its metabolism on the immune system, and your computer probably
burns more cycles on antivirus/firewall software than most other
things. A system in a world of parasites and adversaries needs to
spend effort on defence or it will cease to exist. The key question
is whether the equilibrium reached is rational or just a stable
equilibrium.<br>
