<p dir="ltr">Unfortunately, the latter does not necessarily follow from the former in this case.</p>
<p dir="ltr">They may have given it little more thought than, "This sounds like a serious issue, credibly presented; hopefully this will inspire one of the attendees to do something about it." Alternately, the person who made this invite may (probably falsely) believe he has no power to address this issue.</p>
