<p dir="ltr">Thanks. We're using Diaspora, as Claus linked to; it is a bit space-opera-ish, but that is to be expected since we started from (and are still technically in) the Wing Commander 'verse. The AIs are just more NPCs (or in one case a PC), when they are self-aware at all (otherwise they're just tools) - or at least, that is true of the ones this campaign has touched on - and mostly only matter so far as the PCs will interact with them (an adbot might literally only matter for one sentence in setting a scene, for example), so I don't see where they need much more prep than other such characters. (Though I admit to quite a bit of improv...but then, with my players, improv is less optional than for most campaigns I have seen.)
