In low doses, it must be said.

Our bodies were designed to function in the slightly radioactive natural world. It is entirely possible - and arguably is being done in many parts of the world - to overprotect in the drive for zero radiation, and get an intake below what is healthy.

Of course, it is also possible to radically overdose. Ask any anti-nuclear activist. So do not blindly increase your dose just for the sake of getting enough; that is a good way to overdose and die.

Read the literature and find what the safe doses are...and maybe eat another banana or two, or sleep with someone. (The human nervous system naturally produces trace radiation, so just being next to someone all night gives you and your partner an increased dose from each other.)
