After I told someone at the office we had been in a Chicago blizzard. She reminded me that was not a Chicago blizzard, speculating that I had never seen one, and probably would never. In a Chicago blizzard, the wind comes from the northeast and is going about twice the speed of that gentle 30 knot wind from the northwest.
