<div dir="ltr">When I had my severe respiratory infection earlier this year, they made me put on a surgical mask when I walked in to the ER (I later found out my O2 was already at 87 without a mask due to the infection). Even with just a surgical mask on, I felt like I was suffocating. It was pretty horrible. Luckily once I got into the ER bay, the doctor told me to take it off. This was in January before the CV-19 really hit the fan though.<div><br></div><div>Anyways, I have typically worn a real N95 out when this thing was raging (I'm in lower CT/work(ed) in Manhattan) and if you think a KN95 is bad, try wearing one of those for more than a short period of time (and forget about it in the heat). Now that the curve is pretty dead out this way, I've switched over to a more breathable mask, although they all still fog up my glasses, and the breathable ones are worse for that.</div><div><br></div><div>I don't know what the answer is, but I won't wear one any longer than I need to for errands like grocery shopping. Movie theaters have reopened around here, and are requiring masks.
