Turns out the supply was not really the most limiting factor in many cases. The bottleneck was in getting enough qualified people to watch the recipients for allergic reactions. That turned out to be a bigger challenge than expected, because not just anybody can do that. The recipients need to be kept apart as they wait for half an hour or so, and that takes a lotta floor under a roof, which costs money.
