How are you defining the term “political” please? spike

Will something occurred to me that I might be able to clarify. I only now
realized why it is that my use of the terms proles and proletariat might
seem political to you and for some puzzling reason set you off like a red
cape before the enraged bull. It might be a misunderstanding of terms.

This is the way I am using it, in a modified Orwellian sense: All people
are in one of three categories at any given time: inner circle, outer circle
and proles. All proles are members of the proletariat. To be part of the
inner circle, one must be elected by popular election. In the USA, it’s the
representatives, senators, executive branch people who are elected (only two
of those in the USA.) All of those are inner circle people.

The outer circle is every government employee who is not elected, so all
the military from the newly-arrived boot camp trench rat to the top general,
the secretary of defense and all that, the FBI and its entire hierarchy, but
only those currently employed so not the retirees, pensioners, any of that.
Bureaucracy is all part of the outer circle.

Now it is simple. The proletariat is everyone else. I am and have always
been a prole. It doesn’t imply that proles are poor, uneducated, ignorant,
dumb, any of that. Animals and proles are free. Elon Musk is a prole.
Eliezer Yudkowsky, Anders Sandberg, Robert Bradbury, K. Eric Drexler,
Douglas Hofstadter, and now Dr. Fauci, proles all. There is nothing
political or condescending about being a prole, no disrespect intended.

Is that the way you understand the term?
