I haven’t ridden one, but those could be used to deliver groceries. One must suppose Waymo cars are too expensive for that purpose. With these Waymo cars and feedbots whirring around, the need for personal cars declines steadily. Most single-family homes have garages, and I see plenty of them being converted to living space. Anything enclosed and under a roof has become too valuable to be used to store cars. The current political climate in California favors conversion of garage space to living space (by not reassessing the value of the property for tax purposes if living space is added.)
