You need a lot less than you think you need, for a Phase I.  Your<br>

to properly document it.  They don't know what you've done; you need<br>
to tell them - everything relevant from college onward (assuming you<br>

If that is your only issue with you running it, there's help for that.<br>
The SBIR program includes (or included in 2024, and I suspect it may<br>
still be in place) paid-for assistance in writing Phase I SBIR grants<br>
- in other words, convincing the government to fund you.  They call<br>
this assistance "Phase 0".  They do this because they are well aware<br>
that a lot of people with good ideas the government would like to<br>
fund, incorrectly* think they have no credibility to convince the<br>
government to fund them.<br>

* It's the government that's making the call.  They know the types of<br>
projects and people that they'll fund.  You can be as sure as you want<br>
that they'd never fund you if you applied, and cite all the evidence<br>
you want - but you do realize that is ultimately their call, not a<br>
decision you can make for them, right?  You can no more make that call<br>
for them, than decide what Spike or I are having for dessert tonight.<br>

If that is your only issue with getting the government to give you the<br>
money, I can introduce you (off-list) to the folks who helped us with<br>
our Phase I, on the understanding that paid-for assistance from them<br>
won't/can't begin until the DOE releases the relevant funding<br>
opportunity (which, as noted earlier, is expected later this year),<br>
