I know that this is supposed to be humorous, but I can't honestly say that I disagree with any of it.<br>

Federal?? That only applies to about 4% of the human race. This was obviously written by someone who thinks the 'world series' actually refers to the whole world.<br>

Once we get AI that actually /is/ capable of basic reasoning (as opposed to what we have so far), then a statement like this would be cause for hope that we might actually survive. Not that I'd expect any such statement to be issued. I'm still rooting for something akin to Neil Asher's 'Quiet War', where we don't even realise that the AIs have taken over until well after the fact. And nobody dies.<br>
