The Strait of Hormuz was open for many years, now it is maybe-open sorta closed, depending on how you look at it. If it is closed permanently, alternative energy ideas get traction. <o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif'>But in its maybe-open state, the alternatives face a funding challenge even while energy is expensive. Investors don’t want to pour money into alternatives given the risk that the current POTUS is right: Iran will eventually get hungry enough to devour its warriors and its leadership, open the strait. Then the bottom falls out of the price of energy, and our investments are screwed.
