This was wonderful -- illustrates that men of science are not good at  
predicting the future. In 1960,  when I was 14, I read a  short story 
that predicted sophisticated handheld calculators, so science fiction 
writers have a better track record. Robert Heinlein had scientists of 
the future using slide rulers (what are those, daddy?) thought.
