America

America is more than a place.

America is more than the people who live here.

America is an idea, an ideal, a dream, a hope,
a promise kept.

We do not own America.

We are charged with living up to America's standards.

These are high standards of honesty and integrity,
hard work, and caring, and sometimes they are a
heavy burden.

Yet we know that having this burden is a very
great blessing.

Many of our ancestors shed their blood for this thing
we call freedom.

It is our duty to preserve it, not discard it.
