While it is true that each particular building block is identical on
both figure, the resulting figures at the top and at the bottom are
not the same, and don't have the same area (and are not triangle at
all to start with).

This is because the "slope" in the dark green and the red triangles
are not the same. Exchanging their position changes the overall shape,
and makes the one at the bottom have a larger area.
