[extropy-chat] Personal effectiveness

William H Calvin, wonderful man, attributed many of of our trials and
tribulations to 'environmental incoherence'. He advised scaling back your
initial expectations to where you're right only half of the time.

He later, in his 'A Brain for all Seasons', quoted, "For every complex
problem there is a simple and easy to understand incorrect answer".

One could find this advice depressing, except when  you consider it wouldn't
be fun if it was easy.
