My 2 cents....

Interestingly -- I think MIT grades on a point system while Harvard
grades on a letter system.  Someone correct if they know otherwise.
But the quote wouldn't have had quite the same effect if it had been
"...want to take advice from a man who got a 2.6 in astrophysics...".
