While in normal flight machines are better than humans (which is why
most airplanes spend 99% of their time in autopilot mode), I don't
like the idea of a plane with no humans driving it in an emergency.

One measure which I am surprised has not been taken yet is giving the
pilots their own exterior door and making the cockpit inaccessible
from the cabin.
